Welcome to the St. Andrew's School Website...our School Motto is Excellence from Endeavour.

This page gives you a 'flavour' of what St. Andrew's is all about.

We offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to our pupils.

In music we offer  beginner recorders to children in years 3 and up. The children are then moved into the intermediate, advanced and ensemble groups as they are ready.

We have a strong choir for children in years 4, 5 and 6.

We run an orchestra for children having individual instrumental tuition within the school.

We also run a boomwhacker club for year 4 and have a string group which play at the carol service and the summer concert.

All of our Key stage 2 children are involved in the Carol Service and many are also involved in the summer concert.

We also offer individual instrumental tuition in woodwind, strings, guitar, percussion, guitar and piano and our thanks go to the peripatetic staff who make this possible.

We also run a large number of sports clubs.

We offer football, cross-country, netball, hockey, athletics and rugby clubs throughout the school year.

In years 5 and 6 the children have the opportunity to become members of school teams and play in tournaments and matches against other schools.

Children as young as year 2 are also given the opportunity to represent the school during the course of the year.

Our thanks goes to Mr. Evans who co-ordinates all of these activities and to Mrs Finch, Mrs Bufton and Mrs Matthews who all support him as well as a number of parents and coaches who offer their time and support to ensure the children recieve the best possible opportunities.

We also offer a range of other clubs including a drama club to years 3 and 4, a pottery club, a sewing club, a gardening club and a knitting club.

In year 6 the children all take part in a large production.

This also involves the choir.

Our most recent production was 'Moving On' which was a great success.

Congratulations to everyone involved!

In Key stage 1 all of the pupils take place in a nativity play.

We are looking forward to this year's nativity at the end of term.

We like to think the diverse range of activities we offer helps our pupils to develop as well-rounded individuals. If you have any suggestions for other activities you think we may be able to offer please let us know!
